Troy is the most historically and mythologically inaccurate movie i have ever watched. Where is all the full detail of the Iliad. Of the 3 authors that define the pantheon of western literature in the whole world, i have read 2.5 out of them. Dante, Homer and Shakespeare. what a shame. Anyway, i love greek mythology with my life i am very angry over troy. What a waste of $6.50.

Odysseus is not a compliant party in the war, and the upbringing of Achilles was excluded, where he disguised himself as a girl to avoid being identified. Where are the 3 goddeses which confronted Paris to force him to decide on who is the fairest? where was the sacrifice of Iphigenia to placate Artemis before the ships could sail out of Aulis? How can you cover 10 years in 3 hours? There is another maiden tending to Achilles called Chryseis. Where is the role of Thetis, mother of Achilles, the only nymph that refused Zeus' love for fear of Hera. Who's son will be greater than the father, Peleus. Where are the Gods especially Athena, Hera, Ares, Aphrodite, Poseidon and Apollo. Nestor, the wise and old Greek had barely a role to play. Thetis was supposed to get a new set of armout for her son. The Iliad ends with the death of Hector, not the trojan horse. Where is the amazons, Sarpedon, Memnon, Polyxena, The quarrel between Odysseus and Ajax? Y does Ajax, menelaus, Agamennon and so many others die in foreign circumstances and before their time? Y does Paris not die? Achilles had sons ans daughters from wives, Briseis was just a servant. The arrows of Hercules, poisoned by the Hydra's blood. Where is Oenone, nymph of which Paris desired before Helen, who had the power to cure Paris when he was inflicted with one of the poisoned arrows, but refused to as she was jealous of Helen and ended killing herself in horror of her cruelty. Palladium? it was supposed to be taken by Odysseus and the man-eating horses too. Laocoon and his sons' death at the hands of a sea monster from Poseidon was omitted. As were many Omens and fortune telling. Where is Sinon, betrayer of trojans, Greek by birth. The son of Hercules, Neoptolemus, killed Priam, not Agamennon. Where is Cassandra, priestess of Apollo, the prophet whose prophecies cannot be believed as she offended Apollo. Helen and Menelaus still loved each other since the beginning and she was but a plaything of Aphrodite to appease Paris. There are so many more errors in mythological context that i can't list them all but yes, i have the Iliad and the odyssey as they are on my reading list.

Cyberkidi: Actually i just assign brand names according to sex appeal. Guy Brands get Guys. Giel Brands get Girls. Sometimes i can see symbolism but most of the time not really. Like U wouldn't really be PRL more like Quiksilver. I will redo everything to reflect the more accurate state of affairs another time.

I hate Seiyu... when i went ther to get something today. Its not there anymore and i have been eying it for 6 months or even longer until it reached an acceptable price. Sigh. I thought Bugis might have it but it seems its gone. It most probably isn't sold out but kept so that they can relaunch it again. Seiyu has nice clothes tho except i don't need more T-shirts. they have tons of them that cost 9 bucks and look decent. I hate Project Shop Bloodbrothers. Everytime i go there, i see something exceptionally gorgeous but i don't have to stomach to digest the price. But i feel so reluctant to leave if i don't get it. Gym today was bad as i didn't sleep enough last night. sigh. MUNUS is coming soon. and A*STAR hasn't sent the cheque yet! Argh!!! Tm i will go safti library... haha... must find out what is there.
