I REGRET NOT BUYING THAT INSPIRINGLY BEAUTIFUL SHIRT FROM LONDON. I AM SUCH A FOOL TO THINK THAT I CAN FIND IT BACK IN SINGAPORE. TO THINK THAT IN THE SPACE OF 8 HOURS ON THE FIRST DAY OF HARRODS SALE THEY ACTUALLY SOLD OUT OF IT. EVEN THE FLAGSHIP BURBERRY STORE ON BOND STREET DOESN'T HAVE IT! sorry for the outburst but i should have let all 55 pounds go. NOW I WILL NEVER OWN IT. IT WAS NOTHING SHORT OF HEAVENLY. it was understated class. Even the Londoners appreciate it such that when i tried to get it again back there they had ran out of it already. Now my dearest memory of the beautiful shirt is me trying it on... WHAT A HUGE FOOL AM I NOT TO HAVE GRABBED IT WHEN IT STILL HAD MY SIZE 8 HOURS EARLIER. Sorry for the complaint.

I have to confess a huge extravagance on my part these past few days. I think i have crossed a certain barrier that i will not look back again.Retail therapy is absolutely necessary as i have to relieve myself after the self-inflicted trauma of holidaying. I literally scooped the racks off the shelves as andre can attest to that. I'm sorry if it traumatised u badly. I just lost a bit of control on my card and started swiping at every single opportunity. And u know what? 2 days later i went back to buy IT. U know what i'm referring to and i don't regret it at all. In fact i'm thinking of getting more stuff from the Zara sale. As you all can see my favourite brand is Burberry now and i can tell you it is the brand du jour. I nearly got an AMI at Prada cos i went looking for a tie dye shirt which is handmade. If i could request that as a present it would cost $580 before 40% discount. I rather buy a wallet Mr. Salesman.

The clothes in Burberry's are definitely more casual and wearable as compared to YSL Rive Gauche and Prada who seemingly stock only long sleeve shirts. Givenchy is nice for suits and Versace is out of the way shocking. Kenzo is quite flowery and Polo Ralph Lauren is typically American. Ermenegildo Zegna is too old and i didn't have time to check out Diesel and G-star. I like the stuff available at Re- but always don't have my size. Quicksilver ripcurl and stussy are perennially overpriced and for the amount of $ i can pay for something of theirs i might as well buy from Burberry, Ralph Lauren or anyother designer with a much classier outlook. Or to copy the image i could just take 77th St. Even Surface is better and sometimes DKNY and CK have nice stuff too. D&G and Armani exchange have occasionally good stuff but u must dig. Gucci is extravagant in outlook and Armani typically stylish but not my age. Addidas retro and Addidas i much better a deal than Nike. I rather have le Coq Sportif or Puma or Gola... If you want absolutely copycat designer stuff... ZARA. Topshop is not exactly fabulous once you have seen their giant store on Oxford Circus. FCUK never really got my attention cos somehow they manage to spoil their shirts sadly. Tangs men's department actually is quite good when at sale time. Project Shop Blood Brothers is quite good too. I missed 2 items from these 2 places. One by Nicole Farhi which elpis might remember... The long sleeve one that was so nice! and from Project shop there was something that i wanted so much but i didn't bear the sight of the cost. sigh... the perils of shopping.

A footnote. Always buy the stuff that you heart tells you that you must have if not you will end up spending more $ on impulse buying than the cost of the actual piece itself. I learnt this the hard way. haha... enough shopping for now... there's more next week. Haven't ran through the whole of Paragon's yet. Should i treat myself to some luxury at DFS Galleria since its cheaper slightly there and i can get a discount? Hmmm... Club 21 sale coming up soon... must save up but Zara first. Didn't know Energie was under The Link. Still no urge to visit that shop yet. What about Palais Renaissance... and Forum. So many things, so little time. Sigh. A/W 2004 will be out in late July and early August... can't wait to fix my eyes on certain items and wait for the post Xmas sale.
