I think i should improve the quality of my blogposts. I feel that i have been blogging too hastily. I shall hope that i can write entries that will stimulate the senses and involve some form of intellectual exercise.
MINDS
I was on the bus back from YCK station in the morning when i happened to meet this kid from Serangoon Gardens MINDS. I feel so happy when i saw him prance around and take his own liberty and pleasure at having fun whilst his sister seems to be so envious. His sister is normal so she must think that he is having a lot of fun. This boy approached me and started playing w the L'oreal Feria leaflet that i was reading with. I couldn't help but laugh and at the same time i feel like crying. Why is it that some people are born disabled? Why is it that only us adults/normal can feel their pain for them? Why do they seem to radiate goodness and happiness from every pore, every pupil. Why are we forced to confront harsh reality and to grow up? Who is the disabled one here? Is it us or is it them? Is it really right for us to correct these 'normal' people who's only fault is to fall short of the intellectual determinants of society? Not that i have never played with children before but seeing the look of utter happiness in his eyes was so different when i look into my own eyes or any other person be it young or old. He would never need to face PSLE or endless tuition? He would never be hard pressed to do things so that he can 'achieve'. He would never need to know the meaning of sadness. He is truly happy. And I am truly sad. So is the rest of the world.
DnD
Yes, i dyed my hair for DnD but it was upstaged by my Long2 tattoo. I guess in the dark light nobody can really spot the difference. I recycled alot of stuff for DnD. Sorry jb... u could say the brands as being MUFC, Alain Delon and i don't even know what my navy blazer is from already. haha. Actually in more accurate terms, i bought all these but never did get the opportunity to wear them. They have beem dug out to fit the occassion save the long sleeve AD shirt, which i got inspiration from Zara. But it only costs a fraction of the price. sigh, my shades broke and couldn't wear them for DnD. But anyway it doesn't matter. I guess wearing to theme is fun and the tattoo certainly matched it i suppose. Anyway DnD was fun except that i forgot to bring a camera and missed taking all the photos. The saving grace was this huge Tazmanian Devil which i 'won'. It was one of the spare tickets that BW asked me to go up to collect. Hah... I LOVE IT! It quite resembles me. hehe... anyway i was quite tired by 12.30 as its been a tiring day and i went gymming w Lardlad in the morning. Had no rest before DnD as i had to settle certain things again. I must say that everybody looks fabulous for DnD. Guys somehow always look presentable in suits. I guess i can't really comment on guys cos i wasn't paying any attention. Girls on the other hand... were a delight for the eyes. I loved YX's dress so pale, prim and proper... a very fitting match for QY. The twins were slim and svelte in black and Anin was so tai tai. Belle's Alicia Keys getup was very nice as was Felicia's Black widow clad. Wanling came in a nice trenchcoat and some of my juniors were absolutely marvellous in their dressing up. Just look at Teresa! Bright red off the sholder assymetrical dress with a beautiful tattoo to balance her fair skin. And i think ther silver jewellery was very nicely matched. What a sight for the red carpet. Didn't fit the theme though, but its better to be over dressed than under dressed. Somebody was horrifyingly underdressed and he is an M1. Shocking. Mostly, we have people who either fit the theme or went around the theme. But i think we should have such parties more often. Its so rare that i hardly recognise yiqing and miau sing. They were so vibrantly different and pretty. Totally couldn't recognise yiqing until i heard her voice. as for Miau Sing, nothing short of class... marvellous. HT was fashionably white and late and qich had such a nice outfit! Pris had a nice combi of black and white esp the shawl thing and xling looked nothing short of pretty. Though both of them were a bit hurried from ushering. lifang and wanling and momo and meifen also looked much much different. Haven't seen momo in anything so feminine before. Serena was also very pretty cos she came in a black ensemble and did her makeup nicely. Gnet's denim was nicely matched and Sihui had boots that could kill. Literally and asethetically. Yanru was also decked out in something i would call fabulous and a lot girls looked very resplendent. I echo the call to support medfac people wearing suits and dresses everyday. It will be like some galaxy of stars. LZ had a hot pink dress! Can't comment on everybody here... it will take some while but i must commend the DnD team for their marvellous effort. Can call me Long2 Ge1 from now on... haha... sadly my tattoo was placed a bit too low and thus it was not very visible. Denise was having this orange top that was so deceiving that i thought it was a shawl. Tres jolie! And Cheesie looks absolutely fantastic... I think she was nothing short of princess like. Her pseudo Burberry bag totally matches her to the tilt. Shimin was very different too. I am amazed at how beautiful medfac girls look when they doll up. Christine was so so blue and had such a nice hairstyle. Huili was so white! I guess those who wore cheongsam pulled it off very well... its not easy to fit into a cheongsam and look good in it. And a side point but yutakas look very alluring. anyway i think i messed up my outfit a bit and i look fat in photos. Time to lose weight again. I cannot look like Taz... No cheekbones or piercing eyes. I guess i will get a lot of jealous bfs coming after me after reading this posts. Maybe huge olive shaped balls and wooden rowing paddles will fly at my head after this. *runs away*
