This post is inspired by Dianasaur, Shmeen and other food bloggers. This post is dedicated to all of them but first let me reply the comments
cute cute: Ok, i shall KIV that when i next go to Thai Express. Hmmm must reccomend me more places to eat. I feel like upping my eating budget soon.
Elpis: Actually i suggest you should try thanying express. It is still much better and not overpoweringly sweet like thai express. Trust me. I have tasted much better thai food before Thai express. Let's say cooked by the ex-chef of the King Bhumibol himself when i was in primary school.
Enil: I don't take my anger out on my opponents. I am already so civil when playing. I mean, i just play to the best of my abilities. Sorry if i scored too many times against you. I need a better floorball stick. I can't shoot properly.
Today was a fine day indeed. I found so many good things today. I found a shop that sells cheap spectacles and i think i will be going there to redo my specs soon. I also found a shop which sells cult brands that are not sold in singapore and i think it is absolutely fabulous. Also, i found that maybe life might not be so bad after all after talking to a few of my friends. Indeed i am lucky and fortunate and i should be happy with my life.
I just realised how fortunate i am to have relatives that throw me stuff which i don't really appreciate all the time. I mean, who get free godiva, leonidas, sins, neuhaus, royce chocolates coupled with tung lok, goodwood park or raffles hotel mooncakes especially the divine mini snowskin moon cake with champagne truffle and white chocolate ganache and the Harrods, Fauchon and Fortnum & Mason stuff that i eat.
I didn't really realise this but a lot of the good stuff there is in singapore has already been sampled by me directly or indirectly. My uncle gave me leonidas, neuhaus, godiva and royce once. I can still remember valrhona chocolates being given to me by my dad who got them from a friend. Ah, to taste the Ferrari of Chocolates when i was in secondary school? I didn't quite appreciate it until now, when i realise godiva was rather lacking. I mean, the only thing that i bothered to take note of was that i couldn't find such things in stores. It was only sold in hotels apparently and i tot it was cheap.
Next week is an important occasion cos there is an auntie from HK coming into town and apparently she wants to see me. I didn't manage to say hi to her when i was there the other time so i have to be present at this dinner and my mom was so insistent that she was threatening to cut my finances if i didn't turn up. I know that i am in for a good meal and a good time. I trust in my uncle's gourmet hunting skills and my ability to clean up good food left on the table
Ah... So many food that i have tried. Chocolate Fondue from max brenners, Quattro Formaggi from Amici, Saffron Tagliatele from Prego, Beef Steak with Foie Gras from Fabulous Fizz, Caviar from Beluga and a few nice wines that belong to the Bordeaux Grand Crus and The Cote d'Nuit of Burgundy. Ah... Yquem! anyway Tiramisu from Mandarin Hotel is fabulous... it cemented my favourite desert for all time... mascarpone with marsala aka Tiramisu. I can still remember the first time i ate escargot and foie gras. I literally sent the snail flying when trying to remove it from its shell. And i kind of hated foie gras at first, so fatty before i learnt how to appreciate it.
But now, i am getting fat. No more food for me. I must go on a diet. Feel like gorging myself silly on chocolates now. I love chocolates. I love chocolates. I love chocolates. I love chocolates. I love chocolates. I so love chocolates!
