Today is the morning star's birthday...
The chariot of dawn dispels the night.
Steering the reins of the morning light.
The cocks crow as the world awakens,
To the beauty of Morn's countenance.
Moving on...
I LOVE THE MARMALADE PANTRY!
Their cupcakes are so nice. Even though they are a tad expensive at 3.70 per piece. And guess what, they get sold out by 6pm and you could reserve their cupcakes the day before! This shows how good they are! The nutella one was sold out already so i took the chocolate one. YUM! I ate mine before typing this. Palais Renaissance shall be my next hangout! I shall be a marmalade fan.
The Royal Copenhagen Tea Lounge was not too bad. I still prefer sweet things though. I tried this main course called Shooting Star. It is FISH FISH FISH galore! You have 2 slices of fish, one breaded and the other steamed coated with mustard and thousand island sauces respectively. They also have this prawn salad with caviar. All for 19.90 only. I loved the prawn salad the best, cos i love prawns. Reminds me of the cold prawns you see at ikea cafe. Anyway the food was good although my companion was saying that Bakerzin's main courses were better. Shall try it next time. Gusto at 2nd floor of Wisma outside isetan has apparently a very good Porcini Tagliatele. AHHHH. I feel like eating. Lunching has never been so wonderful. Shooting star is a worthwhile course as it really really fills you up with so much fish and it is worth your money for 19.90. It is also one of their award winning dishes. But so so so many tai tais. Argh. All they talk about is crap.
Didn't go to the DKNY cafe today. Lucky for you DKNY. Let's go there after your exams. I shall show you the wonders of the Marmalade pantry.
Anyway wandering around Orchard yesterday and today has made me fall in love with KENZO. They have very nice long sleeved t-shirts that are superbly tailored with very special designs. The one at paragon has this particular circular motif that makes it rather unique. The one at taka has this graffitti patch which is very nice. BUT it is the only piece left. And it is not on sale. Sigh. It is definitely not within my comfortable budget range and i don't like to buy non-sale products. It is quite unjustifiable.
Certain things have caught upon my mind. Subtly and gently they have squirmed their way into my thoughts and it is making me a bit uneasy. I need to think through these matters which are quite shocking and if possible begin to accept them and if possible change but if not, bear with them.
A stocktaking is necessary and in the works. Refurbishment too.
I want to go to the book store and sit down and finish reading a few books at one go. I have a list of books to read and not worth buying. I think i shall go this friday or saturday. I just realised that my library is burgeoning with books that i have yet to touch and it is not few.
Got my topman stuff today. Hurrah! No more shopping for me anytime soon. The usual places where i get my stuff are seemingly bare save kenzo and tangs men's department which has nice designer togs. But no sale. I will go Bugis to check out my last haunts for this period. I can't wait for Tangs' sale. They have very nice t-shirts especially this long sleeve white top which is very fascinating.
Side note: I got invited to some party. How did the invite materialise? i don't know. I have never heard of it before. I don't think i shall go.
