Its been a really uneventful 2 days thankfully. Had to get a break on sunday if not i will go berserk cos of the lack of sleep and rest that i am having. Monday was spent whiling the time away at the computer fiddling with comp stuff and sorting out my room. Can't afford to go out everyday. Its getting terribly painful when i don't receive pocket money during holidays. sorted out most of my m3 books already. I got all my books still considering a few other possibilities.
Quite pissed at myself now cos i can't find my pre-order receipt of harry potter. It is going for 34.45 at co-op. practically 11 bucks off the pre-sale retail price at borders. Ha i am so happpy. Even after the kino 20% its still cheaper at co-op. I just pray that the receipt is in the medsoc room locker. Haiz. Why am i so forgetful. Because of this i had to search for my DKNY alteration receipt and my Norman Browse receipt too.
Can't find my Washington Manual receipt too! Panicking panickinganyway parma lost to chievo after drawing with austria vienna. I am so sad. the final 7 matches are coming up. please stay in the serie a!!!!!!!
Oh i just found out the price of that lovely mont blanc fountain pen. Its 1240 singapore dollars. Would somebody be so kind as to get one for me?
OK now onto today. Which i didn't really do much except attend parliament and view the casino debate. I guess i have neglected the intellectual in me for too long. Abandoning myself to the pursuit of style i realised that what is most hungry in me is the thirst for knowledge and the intellectualism. What a far cry i am now from the days of RECAS. TO think that i actually comtemplated debate and economics. But well, the only reminder from those days is actually my subscription of the economist which dates from JC days. I used to spend the entire day going through the entire magazine page to page. Now its just sits languidly on my table waiting for me to peruse it occasionally. And on my way back, i passed by my old schools. RI and RJC. Avaris said on his blog about being nostalgic and patriotic to the school systems and everything. I feel quite the same way as he does. Only when you are distant then your heart grows fonder. My heart aches everytime i pass by those schools. They evoke a fondness that even memory is loath to forget.
From parliament, i passed the giant tea saucer that is the new supreme court roof before heading to the confines of esplanade where i had this lovely hot chocolate which was heavily spiced with peppers, cardamon and cinammon at Max Brenner's. Its some mexican spices thing which is so so quaint. I am quite a foodie. Wanted to go Garibaldi's for lunch today but its so sad, i didn't make a reservation and the place is full. What is Garibaldi's? It is one of singapore's finest italian restaurants and according to the Singapore Tatler, it is the best restaurant for 2005. Quite sad that i didn't manage to have a taste of the lovely cuisine.
Doing plhu's survey now, shall post it when i am done. Other than that, tonight shall hopefully be a fun night.
