What a day today was. To think that i was supposed to study today, maybe it was a good thing i didn't cos i had one of the best days of this few weeks so far. As like the previous post, i went to Amici and then had a lovely beauteous filet mignon. I recall prof raj saying that this dish is only prepared by the iliopsoas muscle. Ha what alovely peace of meat it is, its texture and flavour is so much more different than the other normal steaks. After that, headed to orchard to visit the lazy gourmet! After that, headed onto the search for the next big thing which i conveniently found at the esplanade mall. But before that i had to buy thank you cards for my profs/doctors and also had a pop of the lovely chocolate coated strawberries at Chocz. They are so lovingly sweet strawberries with lovingly rich dark chocolate. The sweetest strawberries i have ever tasted in Singapore i am afraid cos most of the supermarket stuff is simply atrocious.
The V Tea Room. Oh my goodness, this place was so freaking nice! It had lovely Venetian Decor with English rose chairs and lovely cakes and food! I ate this gorgeously succulent mushroom steak there that is so out of this world but the best is yet to be. The liquer tea cakes! The liquer tea cakes are so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so nice! I want to eat all of it and everything. It was just so so so wonderful. Oh my goodness, it was simply the best desert i have ever had in my life so far. I tried the Bailey's Tea Cake! I so want to go back there again. It is nothing short of fantastic. They sell fabulously creative cookies that taste lovingly lovely with crazy names like Curry Almond Cookie and Ikan Bilis Cookies and Lavendar and Osmanthus Cookies. I am so in love with that place already. They also have cakes baked in jars that are supposed to taste better with age and all other many new fangled things!
Will be going for a chocolate buffet tomorrow. I hope it will be another culinary experience that is worth going for. And the end of this week shall be garibaldi's! Maybe sometimes soon i will visit Kuriya since some of my friends reccommended it and also the bastion of Haute Cuisine in Singapore, Les Amis and Saint Pierre! Ah, i feel that life seems so much rosier with all those lovely restaurants to feast my gluttony. There is nothing to buy in this GSS. Really nothing. Thankfully so.
