Yesterday was a somewhat peaceful and beautiful day. I decided that i haven't been reading books lately so i plonked myself down in a bookshop and just grabbed a few books and read through them. The Tales of Saffy and Amanda are so hilariously funny that i couldn't stop laughing. Other books like Allende's Kingdom of the Golden Dragon also captured my heart and my imagination. Just wish that Harry Potter will come out soon and I will not need to keep browsing through Talley and O'Connor.
After talking to people you meet along the way in orchard road, just for yesterday, you feel highly impressed by what they say. It may not be anything silly or noble or stuff like going to poor far flung countries to help out but after you hear them talk, it sometimes stay ringing in your ears. It feels inspiring to hear somebody being talked about in such heavenly tones of wondder and its not faint praise from hypocrites. I am sufficiently impressed and amazed. After all, its quite inspiring to hear of legends and their myths and hallowed reputation. I can only aspire to be somebody like that. In fact i want to be somebody like that. Maybe I will someday, cos at the moment i don't think so. But for now, I am very lucky to have them around, cos where giants walk, mortals fear to tread.
